Just got back from our amazing little trip to turkey and greece. We went from Istanbul to Izmir and from there to Samos, Greece. If you hurry you might still find some of our drawings on Lemonakia Beach. Here are a few more pictures from the trip:

We have been so busy with moving all of the art stuff into our new house that I have not been posting at all. So finally here is some new work. It’s the Black Forest in Germany. Pretty much exactly the way it looks.

Last year I worked on a couple of flashcards, that will be used as school material. Here is one of them. The lotion is supposed to  help you grow a beard. So, do it!

Was macht die Katze in der Nacht is my new book with Beltz&Gelberg. It’s available now. I will post a couple more pictures in the next few days.

Here is another illustration I did for Sekret Firmy Magazine. Animals inventing the bike. After some research, I’m pretty sure that’s how it was.

My book Professor Pfeffers tierisches Abenteuer won the 2011 junior award of the German Academy of children’s and young people’s literature. Things have been so busy that I totally forgot to post about it. It’s exciting and a big honor. Above is an image of the Professor saying thanks. I’m still thrilled!

The new year started with one of my close friends turning 30. So I thought I would share her birthday card with you all as the first post in 2012. We had a great party with lots of surprises and I’m glad to have her in my life.

The end of last year was very busy, so I will try to get some of those projects and news on here soon.
